Note: Edge on Win10 does not use ActiveX version but its own Flash. If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. I'm frazzled from working all the other suggestions that didn't work, so it may be a few days before I'm willing to start experimenting again. Unfortunately, this makes Firefox so unusable that I've had to switch to another browser for the time being, but it's having it's own issues. I think you said you already switched it off before, so that may not be relevant. If Firefox uses a lot of computer resources, see the solutions proposed in Firefox uses too many CPU resources - How to fix and Firefox uses too much memory (RAM) - I could also turn off "hardware acceleration" but that didn't help.
