Again, before I installed flash everything was working fine. I have attached a screenshot of this error. here's my 2c - hope this helps someone:I think there is a timing issue where Acrobat is reading some cached data...Do this to delete any cached data:Go to "C:\Documents and Settings"Find I only have the Reader installed (version 8.1.5).
Deleting files manually is inviting troubles and may cause Foxit Reader to stop functioning. Fzip To get firefox to use it as the main pdf reader I went to options>applications and changed the option for pdf to the foxit plugin and everything works dandy now! I was also getting popup error messages about not being a Foxit PDF.Initially I thought it was the update to Firefox 13. Whilst this is normally "good" for updating as a normal user, its definitely risky. Firefox tags the Foxit plugin as potentially unstable, so it turns out I had another program killing the plugin's startup process so it was always disabled in firefox. It's possible for software that has installed these services under the system/admin accounts to leverage their "non admin" run programme (via a normal user) to run admin tasks. Up until firefox 19, the Foxit reader application would open in the browser.
You need the latest updates to get full compatibility. Because of other "bugs" in the way we read back the prefs this didn't matter, but when I "fixed" the bugs to read the prefs correctly I tripped over this issue.
